Cookie policy

Last updated 1 October 2026.

Euxie Ledger (“Ledger”), run by Euxie, keeps a small number of things in your browser. Some are cookies; some use your browser's own storage, which works the same way for your purposes and is listed here with them. This page names every one, says what it is for and how long it lasts.

Ledger shows no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. Nothing listed here is shared with an advertiser or used to follow you to other websites.

Strictly necessary

Ledger cannot work without these. They keep you signed in and make the app open when you are offline.

NameWhat it is forHow long
sb-…-auth-tokenCookieYour sign-in. It holds the session that proves a request is yours, and is renewed while you keep using the app. Large sessions are split across numbered parts (.0, .1).Up to 400 days, or until you sign out
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifierCookieA one-time check while you confirm your email address or reset your password, so the link only works in the browser that asked for it.Minutes; removed once the link is used
hive_impersonationCookiePresent only during a support session, when the operator has signed in to your account to diagnose a problem. It marks the session as support access so it is limited and logged.Until the support session expires
ledger-static-v1, ledger-offline-v1Cache storageCopies of the app’s own files (scripts, styles, icons) and its offline page, so Ledger opens quickly and can say so when you have no connection. None of your financial data is stored here.Until replaced by a newer version or cleared

Preferences

These remember how you like the app to look. Clearing them only resets the choice.

NameWhat it is forHow long
sidebar_stateCookieWhether you left the sidebar open or collapsed.7 days
themeLocal storageYour choice of light or dark appearance.Until you clear it
ledger:post-payment:…Local storageThat you already answered the "add this to your books?" question after a payment, so it is not asked again on this browser. One small entry per payment, holding nothing but a mark.Until you clear it

Analytics

These let usage be counted per browser. They are described in full in the privacy policy.

NameWhat it is forHow long
hive_device_idLocal storageA random identifier for this browser, created the first time you do something in the app that is recorded as usage telemetry. It lets return visits from the same browser be recognised.Until you clear it
hive_device_idCookieThe same identifier, copied into a cookie so the server can recognise the browser — which is also how a device that has been blocked for abuse is refused.1 year
hive_session_idSession storageA random identifier for one browser tab, so the things done in one sitting can be read together.Until the tab is closed

Third party

Set by another company, on its own pages or frames, when you use its service through Ledger.

NameWhat it is forHow long
PayPal’s own cookiesCookieSet by PayPal inside its checkout window and frames, only on the Plan and billing page and only when you start a purchase. Ledger cannot read them.Set by PayPal
Cloudflare Turnstile’s own storageCookieThe check that a visitor is a person, on the sign-in, sign-up, password-reset and account forms, runs in a frame served by Cloudflare. Anything it keeps in your browser belongs to that frame. Ledger sets none of it and cannot read it.Set by Cloudflare

Analytics that use no cookies

Ledger's hosting platform, Vercel, counts page visits and measures how fast pages load. Both work without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. The privacy policy says what they record.

Your choices

Ledger does not show a cookie banner and has no in-app switch for the analytics items above. You control them through your browser:

To have the usage records tied to your device identifier or your account deleted, write to support@euxie.com.

Changes

When Ledger starts or stops using a cookie, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
